What PhoneFerry copies

PhoneFerry is a Windows program that reads an iPhone or an Android phone over the USB cable and copies what you pick to a folder on the PC: photos and videos with their dates, iMessage, SMS and WhatsApp conversations with their pictures as web page, PDF and text, contacts as vCard, calendar as .ics, call log and reminders as CSV, notes as text files, Safari bookmarks, music and playlists, voicemail and voice memos as audio. It has no account, no cloud and no telemetry. The first 100 items are free; then $14.99 once for two PCs.

Questions

Can I copy an iPhone to a PC without iTunes?

Yes. PhoneFerry reads the phone over the cable through Apple's USB driver, which the free Apple Devices app installs; iTunes itself is not needed and nothing syncs. Photos, videos, messages, WhatsApp, contacts, files, music, notes, calendar, reminders, voicemail, voice memos and Safari bookmarks all come across.

Can I copy an iPhone to a PC without iCloud?

Yes. Nothing goes through iCloud or any server. The phone is read on your own PC over the cable, and the copies land in a folder you choose.

Does the same program work for Android?

Yes, on the same licence. Photos, videos and files with File transfer; messages, contacts, call log and calendar with USB debugging on.

What does PhoneFerry cost?

The first 100 copied or exported items are free with no time limit. Then $14.99 once, for two Windows PCs, for life. No subscription, no account.
